Health Officials Ask For Patience In COVID Vaccine Rollout To Seniors

By Dave Bishop Feb 3, 2021 | 8:12 AM

(MNN)  —  The Minnesota Department of Health is asking everyone to be patient as the state rolls out a limited supply of COVID-19 vaccine.

Infectious disease director Kris Ehresmann notes nearly a million people are 65 and older in Minnesota.  She says “until we get more vaccine in Minnesota, it’s going to continue to be really difficult to get an appointment.”  She says there will be opportunities for everyone to get it but it takes time.

Ehresmann notes more vaccine is available to seniors this week than ever before but says it’s “still a drop in the bucket.”
