Clay and Cass County Sheriffs Plan Camping Fundraiser For Veterans

By Dave Bishop Feb 4, 2021 | 9:18 AM

(MNN)  – – With some of the coldest temperatures expected in two years, the Cass and Clay County sheriffs plan to go camping.  Sheriffs Jesse Jahner and Mark Empting will spend tomorrow (Friday) night in a tent outside the American Legion Post in Moorhead as part of the “Frostival” event.

They’re raising money and needed items to signify the estimated 22 veterans who commit suicide every day and to raise awareness about veterans’ homelessness.

During “Freezing for Good Reason,” donations to support veterans will be collected.
