Timberwolves Guard Beasley Draws 120-Day Workhouse Sentence

By Dave Bishop Feb 10, 2021 | 8:46 AM

(Minneapolis, MN)  —  Minnesota Timberwolves guard Malik Beasley will spend to 120 days in the workhouse when the N-B-A season ends.

Beasley pleaded guilty in December to a felony count of threats of violence.  Beasley’s home was incorrectly listed as being on the Parade of Homes last September, and he told the judge he was frustrated, approached a car stopped at the end of his driveway, pointed a gun at the occupants and told them to leave.

Beasley said in court, “I learned my lesson. I was not in my right mind. I’m ready to move on.”

Police seized a large stash of marijuana and other guns at Beasley’s home, but in the plea deal prosecutors agreed to drop a felony fifth-degree drug possession charge.
