(Huntersville Township, MN) — The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three protesters who climbed inside a pipe at a Line 3 pipeline construction site.
About 30 demonstrators had gathered on the pipeline right-of-way in Huntersville at about 11:00 a-m. Construction workers told deputies four people had climbed into the pipe carrying cold-weather gear and sleeping bags.
Deputies ordered the group to disperse and three members stayed inside the pipe. After six hours, they finally came out and 20-year-old Trinity Shaw-Stewart, 22-year-old Bonnie Hoekstra, and 26-year-old Jack Keenan were taken into custody and charged with trespassing.
