(Undated) — Three of the state’s five N-C-A-A Division One men’s hockey teams advanced to the N-C-A-A championship semi-finals over the weekend.
Minnesota Duluth, St. Cloud State and Minnesota State all won regional tournament titles to earn a spot in the N-C-A-A Frozen Four. Duluth outlasted the University of North Dakota Saturday night, winning in five overtimes, the longest game in N-C-A-A tournament history.
Sunday St. Cloud upended Boston College and Minnesota State beat the University of Minnesota to earn their regional crowns.
The Frozen Four semifinals are set for April 8th in Pittsburgh, with the championship on April 10th.
