Thursday night many area residents enjoyed their first look at the new Lincoln School.
The evening’s festivities were kicked off by a speech from Annabelle Lee, Vice Chair of the Fergus Falls Area Chamber Of Commerce board of directors.
Fergus Falls Superintendent Jeff Drake then cut the ceremonial ribbon. The event transitioned to inside of the new school, where Drake gave a dedication speech, where he thanked many of the people who helped make the new school a reality.
The Superintendent was followed by the districts early childhood education director Melissa Amundson to kick off the open house and grand opening.
The event included self-guided building tours and gym activity for the kids. Visitors also enjoyed “The Nest” art creation project with Minnesota artist Megan Flod Johnson.
