(Fergus Falls, Minn.) – Greater Fergus Falls is pleased to announce the appointment of four new board members to serve on their board of directors, effective as of July 21st, 2021.

Joining the board are Chad Landmann, Elise Heifort, Kellen Shebeck, and Kent Mattson. Heifort and Mattson are Fergus Falls natives and Shebeck grew up a short drive away in Underwood. Landmann is the only transplant to Ottertail County but has spent most of his life here and through his role at Bremer Bank and New Beginnings has become a fixture in the community. Chad previously worked in the home mortgage division of Wells Fargo and prior served 5 years in the U.S. Army.

Heifort recently moved back to Fergus Falls from the Twin Cities where she spent a short time after receiving her Juris Doctor (J.D.) at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. Heifort is employed at Pemberton Law in their Employment Law division. “We always knew the Fergus Falls area would be our forever home. I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to serve Greater Fergus Falls as a member of the Board of Directors, and I look forward to being a part of the exciting growth opportunities in our community,” Heifort stated.

Mattson’s resume speaks for itself. Kent holds a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School and has practiced at Pemberton Law since 1993. In January of 2018 Mattson joined the Lake Region Health (LRH) team fulltime as their Chief Legal and Strategy officer. In May of 2020, Mattson was appointed as the Enterprise Chief Executive Officer at LRH.

After receiving a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota, Shebeck returned to Ottertail County and worked in the family’s insurance and banking business. Today, Kellen is now the Senior Vice President of Farmers State Bank (FSB). Since taking over, FSB has added a branch in Rothsay and as of July 2021 Fergus Falls.

GFF’s Managing Director NeTia Bauman said, “Our entire team is grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside such a strong and diverse group of community leaders. From workforce development, lending, small business management, and corporate leadership, our new board members will heighten efforts to grow our area’s economy.
