Minnesota health care providers are hoping full F-D-A approval will mean more people receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
Doctor Mark Sannes with HealthPartners says this might be the final step for a lot of folks that have been hesitant to get vaccinated thus far.
Sannes says patients who are sick enough from COVID to land in the hospital or die from the virus right now are 97 percent unvaccinated.
The F-D-A’s full approval of Pfizer’s vaccine is for eligible patients ages 16 and older. It is still administered under emergency authorization for ages 12 to 15.
