Fergus Falls wakes up to see the damage from Saturday night’s storm. Most of the damage was due to straight line winds and lightning. Most of the damage was concentrated in the south to south east portion of the city.
With several roads blocked due to downed trees, city crews worked quickly to clear the roads and make them safe. Roads blocked by trees included West Channing, South Union, and South Sheridan.
Otter Tail Power company reported that via their outage map that at one point there were over 4,200 customers without power.
The crews worked into Sunday to fully restore power to their customers.
