A west-central Minnesota man is sentenced to 19 years in prison for leading Otter Tail County deputies on a chase and causing a crash that left two people dead.
Cody Freitag of Barrett pleaded guilty to two counts of fleeing a police officer resulting in death.
Two criminal vehicular homicide charges were dropped.
Investigators say Freitag ran a stop sign and slammed into a vehicle last October, killing 72-year-old Steve and 71-year-old Diane Christianson of Fergus Falls.
Test results show Freitag had drugs in his system and paraphernalia was recovered from the van.
