The Fabled Farmer Set to Reopen

By McLovin Dec 8, 2021 | 1:20 PM

The Fabled Farmer in Fergus Falls is going to be reopening under new ownership.

Rebecca Lacheur worked at The Fabled Farmer for about three years prior to the restaurant closing this fall and she is currently working to bring it back.

Ms. Lacheur explained, “I love the concept of The Fabled Farmer, I love the food, and I love working there, so I couldn’t really see moving on from that, so I wanted to keep going.”

The goal is to have The Fabled Farmer back in business by January 2nd, but that is dependent on several factors, including getting the necessary staff for the restaurant. Ms. Lacheur is encouraging people to apply for various positions.

She added, “It will be very similar. I’m going to use a lot of the same menu items…make some changes here and there just to streamline things and try to make it function even better, but it was a successful restaurant before and I want to keep that going.”

The plan is to have the same hours as before too. It will be open Tuesday through Saturday 7a-3p. Breakfast will be served from 7a-11a and lunch will be available from 11a-3p.

Lacheur said, “I’m just hoping that all of our regulars will come back and enjoy the place and we’ll get new people in there. I’m excited to be reopening and get back to the work part that I like. I like serving the people. I like cooking the food. I can’t wait to do that again.”
