Four of the top ten finalists for college hockey’s top award have Minnesota connections. Three Hobey Baker finalists are Minnesota natives and two more play for collegiate programs in the state.
University of Minnesota Forward and Delano native Ben Meyers is joined on the list by fellow Delano product Brian Halonen, who plays for Michigan Tech. Bobby Brink a forward out of Minnetonka who plays at the University of Denver.
There are also two Minnesota State players, goalie Dryden McKay out of Illinois and forward Nathan Smith from Florida.
M-S-U’s McKay is a finalist for the third straight season.
The top three finalists will be unveiled on March 31st, and the winner announced on April 8th.
