Fergus Falls Fire Department Investigates Wednesday Morning House Fire

The Fergus Falls Fire Department responded at 10:50 Wednesday morning to a residential home fire at 1509 West Fir Avenue.

When first responders arrived smoke was showing from the exterior and flames were visible through an open door.

Emergency crew conducted a search and confined the fire within 5 minutes of arrival.

No occupants were found to be home.

The area where the fire originated had moderate fire damage. And there was light smoke damage to the rest of the house. Damage is estimated at $3,000.

The Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Fergus Falls Police Department and Ringdahl EMS.

The fire is under investigation by the Fergus Falls Fire and Police Departments, the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office, and the West Fargo Fire Department K9.
