The suspect in the Pelican Rapids shooting, Phouttasa Prathane, has been caught.
On Tuesday morning at approximately 3:42, the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle for failure to display license plates and the vehicle failed to stop.
The vehicle led deputies in a 3 mile pursuit before hitting stop sticks that were set up by the Redwood Falls Police Department.
The vehicle traveled another mile at high speeds before stopping due to the front right tire being blown out. No one was injured in the pursuit.
Otter Tail County Sheriff Barry Fitzgibbons says the victim of a Sunday afternoon shooting in Pelican Rapids is hospitalized and in stable condition.
Information regarding the circumstances that led up to the shooting have not been released.
