A cornucopia of fresh veggies has filled your fridge for years.
The Fergus Falls Farmers market is set to open this Saturday to kick-off the 2022 season.
This years Farmers Market will open on the lawn of the museum from 9-1 Saturdays and also 2 to 5:30 Wednesday afternoons.
The Famers Market Manager, Lynne Brand, talks about what can be sold at the farmer’s market, “It has to be something that came from your creativity. You can refurbish things but you have to some way change the original form and make it, you know something that you created or grew. We have people that are going to be selling flowers, we haven’t had that for several years, we got hanging baskets and plants and all sorts of stuff it’s just fun we’re just you know”
The Grand Opening for the New Downtown Riverfront complex is set for June 30th, with the Farmers Market relocating there on July 2nd. Brand said they are looking forward to being under a solid roof, “We’re going to not have to wrestle with those darn canopies. That’s always been such a problem, we’ve all had to replace our canopies when the straight-line winds come up so it’s going to be nice to be in a building.’
With Brand looking to retire they are looking for someone to take over being the manager.
Vendor applicants are still being accepted.
