Volunteers, Donations Needed As Flooding Continues in Northern Minnesota

(International Falls, MN) — As Rainy Lake continues to surpass record levels in the International Falls area, volunteers and the National Guard are sandbagging trying to save people’s homes.

Koochiching County Sheriff Perryn Hedlund says more volunteers are needed, and for those who can’t volunteer then can still help by keeping everyone in their thoughts and prayers.

Hedlund says a lot of residents are stressed out, need encouragement and need to know people are out there thinking of them.

Donations can also be made to help via the Red Cross or International Falls Salvation Army.
