At approximately 11:28 late Friday night, the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office responded to a pedestrian hit by a motor vehicle on the west side of Otter Tail Lake near the intersection of County Highway 72 and County Highway 145.
Through investigation it was learned that a woman from Mooreton, North Dakota, was crossing in the cross walk near Beach Bums and was struck by a man from Richville.
The woman sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital by Henning Ambulance.
The driver was issued a citation for Failure to Yield to a Pedestrian in a Cross Walk.
Alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
Assisting the Sheriff’s Office was the MN State Patrol and Battle Lake Rescue.
