Tractor Fire in Wadena County

On Saturday August 13, 2022 at approximately 4:16 AM, the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call for a tractor fire in section 22 of Wadena Township. Upon arrival by Deputies, the tractor was fully engulfed in flames.

The Verndale Fire Department arrived on scene and extinguished the fire quickly. The tractor appeared to be a total loss. No other buildings or equipment were damaged by the fire. The cause of the fire is unknown.

The owner of the tractor had small burns to his hand due to unhooking a chopper from the tractor. He was assessed by Verndale Fire on scene and cleared.

The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Verndale Fire Department.
