Thursday afternoon Republican candidate for Governor, Dr Scott Jenson, spoke to a crowd of about 100 enthusiastic supporters at a campaign rally Fergus Falls.
He discussed some of the main issues that are affecting Minnesotans including inflation, crime, and education.
When asked if elected what his priorities would be in his first 100 days, Dr Jenson responded; “Rewrite emergency powers, pass photo ID, have student choice, those would be three big ones. I’d like to bolster our Second Amendment. I think the Constitutional carry and stand your ground, as well as castle doctrine, protecting yourself in your home, your business, your car. I think all of those are things that should be a part of our Second Amendment rights. Those would be high priorities but, I also want to look at our tax code very much. I to pare down government. I want our heads of agencies and departments to be more service-oriented. I think there’s a lot of Minnesota that feel like the MPCA, DOT, MET Council have not really been held accountable. And too often their attitude is more punitive than it is supportive or consultative I think we can change that.”
Dr Jenson spoke at the Fergus Falls VFW before going up to Perham for an evening event.
