MINNEAPOLIS, MN (KDLM) – Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen continued his climb up the Vikings career touchdown list on Sunday, hauling in his 50th career touchdown pass in the Vikings 28-24 win over Detroit on Sunday.
Thielen caught a one-yard score from Kirk Cousins midway through the second quarter for Minnesota’s first touchdown of the day. Thielen’s score ties him with Sammy White for fourth on the Vikings’ all-time list.
Only three other Vikings have caught more touchdown passes with the team: Anthony Carter (52), Randy Moss (92), and Cris Carter (110).
The Detroit Lakes native added six receptions in the win, which now gives him 477 for his career…one shy of Anthony Carter for fourth all-time on the Vikings list. Thielen has also scored 316 points, which ranks 14th in Vikings history. He trails former running back Ted Brown (318 points) by two points.
The Vikings will now head to London to face the New Orleans Saints at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at 8:30 am CT on Sunday.
