(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota State Patrol wants to increase the number of female troopers and support staff to 30 percent by 2030.

Colonel Matt Langer will sign a ceremonial pledge today (Friday 11 a-m) in St. Paul. Women currently make up about ten percent of the State Patrol’s sworn officers, which is three percent higher than the national average for similar agencies.

Langer, other state troopers, and women leaders will talk about the importance of the 30-by-30 Initiative at today’s event.
