More than 1,000 high school students from Fergus Falls and other nearby towns will be attending the 2022 West Central Minnesota College and Career Expo on Thursday, October 13th.
This event, which is being held at Kennedy Secondary School, is a great opportunity for students to connect with and learn about local businesses, non-profits, colleges and other various organizations.
Lisa Workman with the Fergus Falls Area Chamber of Commerce said, “We know that our businesses in the Fergus Falls area, throughout Otter Tail County, are some of the best companies and best organizations to work for. The students? Let’s recruit them. Let’s talk to them now and get them excited about what’s going on in their future, that there is life beyond high school. There’s lots of great things that are happening beyond high school and get them excited about it and make some of those connections.” She added, “It is a lot of fun. You get a lot of energy that pumps you up from these students. They’re excited. They’re having a good time.”
In addition to expo booths at the Kennedy Gymnasium for students to experience, there will be a chance for students to be a part of small tours at different area businesses.
The 2022 West Central Minnesota College and Career Expo will be from 8:30a-1p on October 13th.
