(Fergus Falls, Minn.) – Greater Fergus Falls (GFF) is privileged to announce that the Otto Bremer Trust (OBT) has awarded the nonprofit economic development organization a $25,000 grant that will support the expansion of ‘The Foundry,’ a hybrid coworking and entrepreneurial center in downtown Fergus Falls. This award includes a dollar-for-dollar cash match condition that offers potential donors an opportunity to invest in the growth of our business community.

Last month, GFF opened ‘The Foundry’ to serve as a hybrid coworking and entrepreneurial center with a dedicated pop-up retail space. Remote workers, traveling professionals, and entrepreneurs can find flexible and affordable work space with a range of membership rates and perks. Since 2020, GFF’s Entrepreneur Initiative has served nearly 150 area entrepreneurs resulting in the creation of over 55 new businesses and several expansions. GFF’s new programming will increase access to education, training, access to capital as well as expand resources and bolster connectivity throughout Minnesota’s growing entrepreneurial ecosystem. In addition to the OBT award, GFF received a $2,000 grant from Minnesota Business Finance Corporation (MBFC) to fund new technology and a generous donation from the Frank W. Veden Charitable Trust to assist with early-stage capital for The Foundry.
