Over the River Holiday Festival Returns to Fergus Falls Today (Saturday)

By Dave Bishop Dec 3, 2022 | 10:47 AM

The 6th Annual Over the River Holiday Festival in Fergus Falls is happening today. (Saturday)

Once again, the Fergus Falls Downtown Riverfront Council is inviting the community to come out and enjoy all kinds of fun and entertainment to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.

This yearly event kicks off with the Santa Fly-In at the Fergus Falls airport. Then people are welcome to participate in various activities (including shopping sales at local businesses, selfies with Santa and Reindeer, horse-drawn carriage rides, checking out the art and artisan market at the pavilion, and being a part of the holiday art crawl), experience the tree lighting and Otter Cove’s Festival of Lights and watch the fireworks.

The Fergus Falls Chamber will be doing a “Merry Mix & Mingle” Holiday Party at the Eagles Aerie #2339 (the ship) to help finish off the day. There will be a social hour at 6:30p, dinner at 7:30p and a stand-up comedy performance from John Busch at 8:30p. Tickets and tables for this part of the event are available to reserve by Chamber members and will potentially be available to the general public at a later date.

Fergus Falls Hit Music Channel 977 (listen at 97.7 FM, channel977.com and with the Fergus Now App) will be playing non-stop Christmas music during the Over the River Holiday Festival.
