(St. Paul, MN)  —  Minnesota utility regulators are ruling that a planned carbon dioxide pipeline should undergo a thorough environmental review available under state law.

The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission voted five-to-0 yesterday for an environmental impact statement for the Summit Carbon Solutions pipeline.

The proposed project would run for 150 miles in Minnesota, transporting carbon dioxide captured at seven ethanol plants.
