On Jan. 30, the Fergus Falls Otters boys’ hockey team picked up a road shut out, 4-0 games against the Willmar Cardinals Fergus Falls Otters victory over the Willmar Cardinals, 8-0, on Tuesday night at the Fergus Falls Community Ice Arena.
Their next game is Saturday the 4th against Wadena in Fergus Falls at 2:00pm.

Hosting the Detroit Lakes Lakers, on Jan. 28, the Fergus Falls Otters boys’ basketball team could not hold the lead in finishing with a 78-52 loss.
Their next game is against Sartell in Fergus Falls Friday February 3rd. at 7:15pm.

The Fergus Falls Girls’ Basketball
The Fergus Falls girls’ basketball team played Rocori and went on to defeat the Otters 61-42 Thursday night in Cold Spring, the loss was the ninth in a row for Fergus Falls.
Fergus Falls plays at Detroit Lakes tonight at 6:00pm.
Otter Girls Hockey
The Fergus Falls Otters girls’ hockey team 5-0 victory over the Willmar Cardinals on Tuesday night. Making it an unbeaten streak of 12 games.
Maddie Hulter scored a goal and assisted on 3 scoring points on Thursday night as Fergus Falls girls’ hockey team scored the last five points of the game in a 5-1 winning over River Lakes, making it a 13-game winning streak.

M State Spartans Men’s Basketball
Jan. 28, the M State Spartans men’s basketball team. It was an 80-77 win for the visiting Mayville side against the Mayville State Comets JV team.
On Wednesday as they were able to defeat Anoka-Ramsey by the score of 75-68 in Fergus Falls.
M State will travel to Austin on Saturday for a 3:00pm game against Riverland.
M State Lady Spartans Basketball
On Jan. 28, the M State Lady Spartans fell short to the Cavaliers of Western Tech, 65-58 inn a divisional match up.
On Wednesday night at M State in Fergus Fall played the Golden Rams who went on to score a 60-48 victory over the lady Spartans in a MCAC Southern Division contest.
M State travels to Austin on Saturday for a 1:00pm encounter with Riverland.
Underwood Rockets Boys’ basketball
In non-conference action against Sebeka, on Jan. 30, the Underwood Rockets boys’ basketball team had a 72-38 victory.
With the game tied at 6-6 early in the first half, the Underwood girls’ basketball team won over battle Lake with a 60-37 on Senior Night at the Underwood gym.
The Underwood Rockets Boys’ will play at Parkers Prairie tonight.
Hillcrest Comets Boys’ basketball
Hosting Mahnomen-Waubun, on Jan. 30, the Hillcrest Comets boys’ basketball team had a 72-69 victory.
They will host Border West tonight.
Battle Lake Battlers Boys’ basketball
Traveling to take on Parkers Prairie, on Jan. 27, the Battle Lake Battlers boys basketball team had a 52-42 winning a second time over the Panthers.
Battle Lake is hosting Brandon-Evansville tonight.
Pelican Rapids Boys’ Basketball
Pelican Rapids hosted Thief River Falls in a high school boys’ basketball contest on Thursday night. The Vikings were unable to defend against Thief River as the Prowlers and went on to win 74-52 over the Vikings.
Perham girls’ basketball
The Perham girls’ basketball team posted a 67-48 Heart O’ Lakes Conference win over Pelican Rapids on Thursday night at ‘The Hive’ in Perham.
West Central Area Boys’ Basketball
The West Central Area Knights picked up a 65-38 road win in Staples on Thursday night
The Fergus Falls boys’ swimming and diving team
The Fergus Falls boys’ swimming and diving team ended the regular season after a 106-74 victory over St. Cloud Tech/Rocori on Thursday night. Winning their 3rd Central Lakes Conference dual meet win of the season.
Fergus Falls Otters 7th-9th Wrestling
On Jan. 28, The Fergus Falls Otters seventh through ninth grade wrestlers scored 85.5 points as a team at the 2023 Minnesota Wrestling League Region 8 tournament.
The top two finishers in each weight class advanced to the state tournament.
The Fergus Falls wrestling team competed at the Pequot Lakes/Pine River-Backus Triangular on Thursday.
The Otters lost to Sauk Centre, 44-30 and to the host team, 69-12.

97-98 Spartans men’s basketball team Inducted into the Spartan Boosters Legends Hall of Fame at M State
On Jan. 28, The 1997-98 Spartans men’s basketball team became the first team to be inducted into the Spartan Boosters Legends Hall of Fame at M State, in Fergus Falls.
The team had a perfect record of 29-0 on the way to The NJCAA Division III National Championship that season. The induction ceremony followed the Spartan basketball games on Saturday, January 28th.
