Otter Tail Lake Special Olympics Minnesota Polar Plunge Meets $75,000 Goal

Ottertail, MN (KDLM) – Special Olympics Minnesota held its fourth-annual Polar Plunge on Otter Tail Lake on Saturday afternoon. 175 plungers raised $75,100, meeting the plunge’s lofty $75,000 goal.

2023’s total is the most ever raised at the plunge, eclipsing the $70,935 raised last year.

The Otter Tail Plunge, which is coordinated by The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office and the Otter Tail Lakes Country Association, has now raised more than $332,000 for Special Olympics Minnesota.

So far in 2023, 10,294 people have taken a plunge into a frozen Minnesota lake and have raised nearly $1.8 million.
