The 2nd annual “Awesome for Andy Day” event, dedicated to Sarah Fjeld and her son Noah, is set to take place on Saturday, June 17 at Hillbillies in Erhard.
This benefit event aims to raise funds for Sarah and Noah, who are both courageously battling cancer.
Sarah, a resident of Dilworth, Minnesota, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017, and her son, Noah, was diagnosed with paranasal cancer in December of 2022.
Both are currently receiving treatments at the Roger Maris Cancer Center.
The raised funds from the event will significantly assist the family with ongoing living and medical expenses.
The Fjeld family, including Sarah’s husband Josh, Noah, and their daughter Mikalya, appreciate all the support they have received.
Event goers will have the chance to participate in a fun run for $20, with registration opening at 11:00 AM and ending at 5:00 PM.
An assortment of exciting prizes awaits the attendees. The first prize is a one-day, all-inclusive winter fishing trip for four in Otter Tail County, guided by Konnor Kleist from OTC Fishing, with a delightful dinner included – a prize valued at $500.
Other rewards include a $200 cash prize for the second-place winner, and a $100 cash prize for the third-place winner.
Music lovers will enjoy live music from “Chasing Tomorrow” from 6 PM to 10 PM. Various gifts and a donation boost from Dakota Medical Foundation through their initiative, Lend A Hand Up, further enhance the event’s appeal.
Everyone is invited to learn more and give their support via the Lend A Hand Up website (LendAHandUp.org).
Contributions are greatly appreciated, with the Dakota Medical Foundation boosting every donation by 20%, meaning your support goes even further.
