(St. Paul, MN) — State officials are reporting a nine-percent increase exports of Minnesota products in the first quarter of 2023.
The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says exports topped six-point-six-billion dollars in the first three months of the year. This was the eighth consecutive quarter of export growth.
DEED says Minnesota exports rose 15 percent to the European Union; 28 percent to the Caribbean, Central and South America; and 34 percent to Africa.
State exports to Russia fell by 94 percent while rising 175 percent to Ukraine. Governor Tim Walz says, “Minnesota’s economy is making a global impact.”
