Charles Beck: Love for History is currently on display at the Otter Tail County Historical Society.

This exhibit brings together works by Charles Beck that are in the private collections of OTCHS members and in the OTCHS collection.

The historical society has also updated their 2013 presentation “Tribute to Charles Beck.”

The digital slideshow will be available to view throughout the run of the exhibit.

Beck’s connection to the Otter Tail County Historical Society runs long and deep.

In the early 1970s he helped realize the dream of seeing artifacts in the basement of the county courthouse preserved and displayed in a meaningful way.

He was instrumental in designing exhibits at the new museum and coached volunteers to create visually appealing dioramas.

His influence made the museum a place of pride for him, the community and Otter Tail County.

When the Agricultural Wing addition came to fruition in the early 1980s Beck was again asked to help.

Through his efforts the appealing exhibits opened in the fall of 1983.

OTCHS will continue to call on their members to contribute to the exhibit.
