The Fergus Falls Fire Department were dispatched at approximately 9:40 Tuesday night (June 20) to multiple fires to the west end of Fergus Falls.
The 1st fire that was found out of control, was from a park pit behind the old SunMart that was left unattended.
The second fire was found nearby in a field, approximately 200 yards behind the Northeast back side corner of Quality Toyota.
Regarding the second fire, Fergus Falls Fire Department Division Chief Chris Harig stated,
“How the fire started appeared to be suspicious, and is still currently under investigation.”
The fires were put out and under control by approximately 10:26 p.m.
The initial call came directly to the Fergus Falls Fire Department, but was also directed to 911.
