Manual Garbage Disposal Adopted Temporarily as All Hands Get On Deck
In Fergus Falls, a recent spate of mechanical problems with the city’s residential garbage trucks has led to unexpected delays in garbage collection.
However, the City assures residents that every garbage can will be emptied, albeit not as promptly as usual.
To cope with these challenges, the city has adopted a proactive approach by employing all available resources.
A shift to the more labor-intensive, ‘old-fashioned’ method of manual garbage disposal has been implemented temporarily to ensure every residence’s garbage is collected.
Residents are kindly requested to maintain their usual garbage disposal practices, ensuring that cans are left out for collection. Despite the delays, the City emphasizes that all cans will be emptied in due course.
In these testing times, the City is grateful for the residents’ patience and understanding.
A kind gesture of appreciation, such as a thumbs-up to the hardworking staff doing the manual collection, is suggested and would certainly lift their spirits if seen out working.
