With 4th of July celebrations happening this weekend, their is plenty of fun and excitement planned with all the local events taking place.
Friday:
- The Pelican Rapids Market is every Friday, 3-6 p.m. in downtown Pelican Rapids.
- I-94 EMR Speedway Presents Fireworks and Thrilling Races Tonight in Fergus Falls.
A combination of high-octane auto racing and spectacular fireworks.
General admission is priced at only $10, promising a thrilling and affordable evening for all.
Tonight’s lineup features a range of races, including Street Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Gen X Late Models, Super Stocks, Modifieds, and Short Trackers.
The gates swing open at 5:30 PM, and the racing action begins at 7:00 PM.
Don’t forget, kids 10 and under can join the excitement free of charge with a paid adult.
Tailgate is first come first serve and the Pits: Adult (11+) $30, 7yr-10yr $15, 6 and Under FREE.
Camping-electric: Friday night Only $20, Saturday night Only $30, both nights $50 and dry camping is free.
- Tonight at 7pm, there will be Live Music from Perfectly Still at the Fergus Brewing Co. in Fergus Falls.
- Tonight at 10pm until 2am, Karaoke with Rockstar Entertainment @ Zorbaz on the Lake (Otter Tail Lake).
Saturday:
- Saturday morning from 8am -9am, Early Explorers at the Otter Cove Children’s Museum in Fergus Falls.
Enjoy our weekly infant/toddler hours – a time for the youngest learners to play and explore throughout the museum
Older siblings are welcome during this time, but we ask that they play gently.
Early Explorers is included in your membership or daily admission.
Registration is not required.
- Fergus Falls Farmers Market at Spies park, from 9-1pm. This Saturday will have 32 sellers signed up to participate.
Lone Pine Soup Co will be set up with their soups, salads, and sandwiches as well as the Peney Cakes dessert trailer.
- Saturday from 9-1pm, The Battle Lake Farmer’s Market at Railroad Park in Battle Lake.
- Saturday afternoon at 2pm, World of Outlaws Fergus Falls Showdown at the I-94 EMR Speedway in Fergus Falls.

- Saturday at 12PM, the Christmas in July Block Party begins at Hillbillies Depot in Erhard.
4-7pm DJ Silverado, ugly sweater contest with prizes, special appearance of the Ice Hole Bar, with a polor plunge dunk tank from 4-7pm, and a corn hole tourney from 2-5pm.
- Saturday eve at 7pm, Live music by Sparrowhawk, Dawning Owl, Darin Kummrow at Stella’s Restaurant & Bar in Battle Lake.
- Saturday eve at 8pm Darin Kummrow (folk/punk/Americana acoustic rock), at 9pm Dawning Owl (retro feeling alt rock sound with a hint of a spacey sting), and at 10pm Sparrowhawk (guitar rock triple-distilled and delivered with earnest). $10 cover and doors at 6pm.
- From 8 until Midnight Saturday , is the Shoreline Street Dance at the Shoreline Restaurant, Bar & Bowl in Battle Lake.
Music by Darren Quam and Friends, and The Shape of Walter.
Fire dancing by Suniva Sol and Jessabelle Moria, and there is no cover charge.
Sunday:
- Sunday from 9pm until midnight, the Johnny Holm Band will be performing live at Beach Bums in Ottertail.
- Sunday from 5pm until 8pm, There will be Live music featuring Braeden Wallace at ABC Brewing in Battle Lake.
