Wenonga Days in Battle Lake July 21st – 23rd

Wenonga Days Weekend, an action-packed three-day event from Friday, July 21 to Sunday, July 23.

 

On Friday, the weekend festivities kick off at the Lionseed Bookstore with a Kids Book Festival, followed by a teen edition of an escape room challenge from 7:00 to 9:00pm.

The DanceBARN Festival Performance will be taking place.

An open play at Prairie Peak Kennels and a walking tour of Historic Downtown Battle Lake round out the day’s events.

The LACC has organized a Craft & Vendor Market and Parade on Saturday, July 22nd.

The Craft and Vendor Fair will take place from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at a new location, Railroad Park, located at MN Hwy 78 and County Road 83, just north of Larry’s Foods.

The fun continues with a myriad of activities such as a Kids Storytime at Lionseed Bookstore, a Kids Carnival by Bethel Church, and a Petting Zoo by Trowbridge Creek Zoo, all located near Railroad Park.

Olson’s Pedal Tractor Pulls will host a Tractor Pedal Pull, and the Art Advisory Committee invites everyone to “Chalk the Alley”.

The Milk Jug Boat Race organized by Art of the Lakes will start at 3:00pm, and the LACC will host a BINGO game from 3:00 to 6:30pm.

End your day watching a movie under the stars in the Art Alley at 9:00pm.

Live music will grace the event all through the weekend. On Friday, catch Zach Thomas at ABC Brewing from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and Wain MacFarlane and Friends at Stella’s.

The next day, Mike Ray and the Nasty Notes will entertain from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at ABC Brewing, and Stella’s will once again host Wain MacFarlane and Friends.

Busty Nail will feature The Winter Sloths from 9:00pm to midnight, with a $10 cover charge and a 21+ only admission.

On Sunday, July 23rd, start your morning with the Lions Pancake Breakfast at Lions Park.

To cap off the event, fireworks will light up the sky at dusk from the Battle Lake School fields.

 

Don’t forget about the Turtle Races at 11:00am on Thursday, July 20th, which set the stage for this fun-filled weekend.
