(Walker, MN) — Authorities in Cass County say the body of a missing fisherman has been recovered from Leech Lake.
The sheriff’s office received a report Monday evening that a man fishing on the lake didn’t return to his home near Walker.
Deputies searched the area and found the man’s boat along the east shore of Sucker Bay several hours later.
Another search began Tuesday morning and crews located the 71-year-old’s body around 6:30 pm.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office is expected to determine his cause of death and identify the man.
