(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) are cracking down on illegal robocalls to consumers.
“Operation Stop Scam Calls” is an initiative targeting robocallers and the companies that enable them, as well as lead generators who collect and provide telephone numbers, falsely representing that these consumers consented to receive calls.
Ellison says, “Minnesotans file more complaints about robocalls with our office than about any other single problem.”
Ellison stands by his “dont hang on, hang up” motto and continues to encourage Minnesotans who receive these calls to file a complaint with his office on the phone or online.
