On Monday, July 24th the city and contractors begin a major street and utility improvement project on portions of Laurel Street, Linden Street and Summit Avenue.
This is City Project 5960 and includes the reconstruction of the sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, sewer and water services and street surface reconstruction. The work was awarded to Joe Riley Construction.
The project begins with tree removal on all three segments on July 24. The week of July 31 on Laurel Street contractor will begin street removal.
Laurel Street will be substantially completed in 2023. Time and weather permitting, construction will continue on Linden Street and Summit Avenue.
Residents in the area have direct communication with Troy Hauge (City Project Representative) and contractors as impacts progress throughout the project.
Traffic control will be in place throughout the work site.
