The Fergus Falls 14U Babe Ruth Baseball team is celebrating their well-deserved qualification for the State 15U Intact Tournament in Bemidji this coming weekend. Their journey to the state tournament began in the Babe Ruth 15U Intact District Tournament, where they displayed exceptional skills and sportsmanship, securing a second-place finish out of six teams.
The team’s determination was evident from the very start as they faced the Breckenridge Cowboys 14U in Game 1 of the district tournament. Although they narrowly fell short, losing 5-4, the Fergus Falls Otters showcased their tenacity and impressive teamwork. Tucker Snyder and Avery Smith’s contributions helped the Cowboys take the lead, but Logan Schoon and Kadyn Zender’s efforts enabled the Otters to tie the game.
