(Red Lake, MN) — The Red Lake Nation’s NativCare dispensary will be Minnesota’s first recreational marijuana retailer as the new law takes effect today (Tuesday).
Due to its existing medical marijuana operation and the fact that tribal nations don’t need to wait for the state’s licensing system to begin, Red Lake Nation can open for business.
Tribal officials say products sold to the public cannot be used on their land.
