Minnesota Department of Natural Resources wildlife health supervisor Erik Hildebrand says to have a successful hunt, you need to think about:
“Do you have any CWD sample requirements in your DMA and if so what are your options to get your deer tested? Are there any carcass movement restrictions that you need to follow? And if there are any recreational deer feeding or attractant bans that may be in place for the county that you may be hunting in.”
Hildebrand also recommends hunters read up on the new hunting regulations the DNR is posting this year, as well as the state’s deer management strategy.
