“Where to Eat” Episode 2 – Sone’s Asian and American Cuisine
Welcome to the second episode of “Where to Eat”, where we take you on another food venture to discover the most delectable dishes in the surrounding area.

In this episode, hosted by Zakk Daniels and Dave Bishop, we visit Pelican Rapids, home to the largest Pelican Statue “Pelican Pete” and visit the VFW, to discover the hidden Restaurant Sone’s Asian and American Cuisine tucked away inside the VFW.

One might expect Bingo walking into the Pelican Rapids VFW on a given day. But hidden inside is one of the town’s great secrets, Sone’s Asian and American Cuisine Restaurant.
Known for its Pho, Sone’s has many dishes to satisfy your food needs whether its burgers and fries, or something a bit more savory such as her fresh made to order stir-fry.
Zakk Daniels had the pleasure of trying Sone’s top recommendation –
The Sliced Beef Pho and handmade Deep Fried dumpling (Potstickers) and homemade dumplings sauce.
This mouthwatering Pho was served in what seemed like a never ending sized bowl, served with lime hot chili sauce hoisin sauce mint bean spouts and limes.
Dave Bishop, the co-host of “Where to Eat,” went with another of the owner’s recommendation –
Sweet Chili Boneless Chicken Stir-Fry which came with white rice and homemade wontons, and an appetizer of Sone’s special Spicy Pork Eggrolls.
Throughout their visit, the atmosphere at the Pelican Rapids VFW, it was very inviting and friendly, with customers enjoying their meals and great camaraderie.
The passion and care put into each dish were evident, having been open for two years in the VFW, its clear to see that Sone has put a lot of care and dedication into her trade. Which Such delectable meals to choose Sone’s is quickly becoming the go to for all a variety of tasty dishes.
