(St. Paul, MN) — A new school year is on the horizon, and the Minnesota Department of Revenue is reminding residents of tax benefits to take advantage of.

Families are being reminded to keep receipts from every purchase of K-12 school supplies. Come tax season, parents and caregivers can include receipts with their state return for a rebate, something more than 30-thousand more Minnesotans can take advantage of this year.

In addition, Minnesotans can look to K-12 Education Subtraction credits, for tuition paid to courses used to satisfy high school graduation requirements.

More information can be found on the Minnesota Department of Revenue’s website.
