There are numerous roads being resurfaced as well as other city projects underway in Fergus Falls, some of which will be completed soon.

Many people are curious about the ongoing construction in Fergus Falls.

However, roads are beginning to look much nicer and completion dates are near for some projects.

Jean Bowman, Communications Manager for the City of Fergus Falls shared this on the matter,

“The Fergus Falls Lincoln/Union Avenue street project status per the contractor this week – work on the pedestrian intersections/ramps resumes later this week and next. Final mill & overlay is scheduled the week of September 11. “

Jean Bowman continued by sharing,

“Also, the water-main repair on Friberg will be complete before the first football game of the season, which is September 1.”

Regarding the Union and Lincoln Street Resurfacing Project, on Union (Fir to Lincoln) and Lincoln (Union to Friberg).

An August 17th Update on the City of Fergus Falls website said this: “If you’re thinking the Lincoln and Union Ave. street project looks awfully quiet, you are not alone. We have not been abandoned! The crew did not anticipate a rain delay and some concrete needing to be repoured in early August. They anticipated being done August 4 and were committed to another job out of town starting the 7th. That will be wrapped up soon and they’ll be back to finish the sidewalks, followed right away by the mill and overlay. Schedules, materials and workforce are changing frequently. We anticipate it will be completed before Labor Day. Thank you for checking in.”
