(Undated) – In preparation for winter, MN-DOT has added cameras and pavement temperature sensors at 10 more locations along highways in northeast, northwest, and central Minnesota, bringing the statewide total to 163.

Margie Nelson with the agency’s Duluth office says, “Really comes in handy during the winter when assessing plowing, and the public can also look at the cameras in these locations on our 511 information system.”

Nelson encourages drivers to check 511mn.org before heading out, not only for a heads-up on road construction at this time of the year, but for an alert on road conditions during the winter.
