Throughout the month of October, the Minnesota Department of Economic and Employment Development is highlighting employment opportunities in the manufacturing sector.
DEED Deputy Commissioner Kevin McKinnon says there is a high demand for people to work in manufacturing positions in Minnesota.
He says many manufacturing jobs can be started with a high school diploma and employer-provided on-the-job training. McKinnon says, “So that people that are hired do see a pathway for themselves and gain the critical skills that are needed all along the way.”
