Hello and Welcome to the 5th installment of “Where to Eat”, Brought to you by Vergas 66 Gas & Convenience in Vergas, MN.

A captivating culinary exploration that continually expanding gastronomic horizons.

 

In this episode we visit Battle Lake and venture to Stella’s, where its small town charm meets delicious uptown dining.

Stella’s is one restaurant that stands out in the heart of lakes country for not only its great food, but wonderfully designed stage area on open concept event side of the establishment.

Stella’s  features an array of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pasta and pizza.

You can also pick from a wide selection from a bountiful wine list or pair your meal with one of their tap beers or craft cocktails.

Seafood Diablo pasta

After talking with owner, Ryan Carlson,  Zakk Daniels chose a very popular dish, The Seafood Diablo Pasta.

Fettuccine tossed in a fresh marinara cream sauce with lobster, imitation crab, jumbo shrimp, roasted red peppers, brushetta tomatoes and green onions. Served with a slice of toasted garlic bread.

 

 

 

 

 

Thai Chicken pasta

Meanwhile, co-host Dave Bishop selected a staple favorite of many, The Thai Chicken Pasta.

Fettuccine, Moroccan chicken, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, peanuts, red and green onions, and tossed in a spicy peanut sauce. Served with toasted garlic bread.

 

 

 

 

 

Artichoke and Crab dip

Both Zakk and Dave also went with one the owner’s recommendations a signature taste of Stella’s, The Artichoke and Crab Dip.

A wonderfully savory and cheesy, served with a generous portion of bread.

About Stella’s: Located on 114 Lake Avenue South in Battle Lake, MN.

Stella’s was established in 2007, but in recent years, ownership was taken over by Ryan Calson, who has created a great place for both dining and events.

Ryan and his staff’s dedication is seen not only in the amazing dishes, but in the restaurant itself.

The willingness to cater to a wide array of patrons with many meal choices and venue experiences might be a risk for some, but it makes Stella’s a must stop if your wondering Where to Eat

There is definitely something for everyone, and with daily soup specials, Wednesday wine specials, and a variety of tasty meals to choose from.

 

 

A visit to Battle Lake for a trip to Stella’s is a must if you enjoy fine dining, and depending on the time of year a wild side and like a good event or enjoy relaxing stage side for a great artist or band.

Remarkably remodeled during the pandemic, Ryan (owner of Stella’s) created a unique feel and ambiance that is close to none.

A great place for any gathering with unique dishes, and great staff.

 

Their fall hours are Wednesday and Thursday 11am to 8pm, Friday and Saturday 11am to 9pm, and Sunday 11am to 8pm.
