Grant County man arrested after SWAT team deployed

(Wendell, MN)–A man from Grant County is in custody following a violent incident resulting in a SWAT team deployment.  The incident took place on Sunday.  According to report, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a domestic situation with a gun on County Road 11 near Wendell.

The caller indicated that their father, Joshua Clifford Stevens, 46, of Wendell, had pointed a gun at another family member.

The complaint states that at that point it was reported that Stevens had walked outside and fired the gun. Dispatch then reportedly told the family to leave, and they met with law enforcement at another location.

Stevens was taken into custody and charged with two felony counts of second degree assault and misdemeanor domestic assault. Stevens is currently being held at the Douglas County Jail. He made his first court appearance on Tuesday.

He is currently being held on $10,000 bail or bond with no conditions, or $5,000 with conditions.
