“Where to Eat” Episode 7 – Ye Olde School House

In this episode we go off the beaten path and share a lakes area hidden gem with a great story.
Just outside Erhard in the tiny “town” of Edwards to the Ye Olde School House.
Converted to a restaurant from a real school house. The ecclectic style still present today. You can even flip though old school house photos from decades long past saved only on old black and white photos.
We sat down and got to know a bit about the chef and owner who everyone knows as, “Sumo” and enjoy some of the best in American style eats.
Your hosts Zakk Daniels and Dave Bishop invite you to join them as they make their way through the Ye Olde School House experience.
After talking with the owners, Zakk Daniels went with the Schoolhouse Favorite, The School House Burger
1/3 pound patty, cheddar cheese, bacon, BBQ sauce, onion ring sour cream on a toasted brioche bun. With a side of onion rings and a cup of homemade vegetable soup.
Meanwhile, co-host Dave Bishop selected, another favorite and owner recommendation, the Brisket sandwich.
A healthy portion of tender brisket was topped off with mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and a tangy barbeque sauce.
About Ye Olde School House: Located on 24028 Emery Dr, Erhard, MN (In Edwards)
A visit just a few minute drive outside Erhard Minnesota in the “don’t blink or you’ll miss it”, town of Edwards lays a very iconic restaurant.
Ye Olde Schoolhouse was purchased by Bryan “Sumo” Stetz in May of 2009.
His specialties are burgers brisket and fish, but makes a variety of different things to choose from including making homemade soups. With regular rotating specials weekly, your bound to find something you’ll like.

They are open 7 days a week 9-1 pm, and 5-8 pm
