Tis the season for joy and festive cheer, and M State’s 2023 holiday show promises a delightful musical experience.

The concert will feature a variety of familiar and uplifting vocal and instrumental songs of the season, with a special focus on selections from Handel’s Messiah and Mannheim Steamroller.

Taking place on Sunday, December 3, the matinee concert will kick off at 2 p.m. in Legacy Hall.

The performance will showcase M State’s Concert Choir, Voice Ensemble, Chamber Chorale, and a string ensemble.

Following the first part of the show, there will be an intermission with dessert treats.

The concert will then continue in Waage Theater, featuring a performance by the Concert Band.

Laura Quaintance, Music Faculty at M State and Director of the choirs, expresses the excitement of the students in preparing for this concert filled with traditional and familiar melodies.

She mentions, “Our students have been enjoying preparations for this concert, filled with traditional and familiar melodies. We are proud to showcase a number of our singers through solos, and our choirs are thrilled to sing with the string ensemble. Our audience is sure to leave this afternoon of music in the full holiday spirit.”

Tickets for the event are available for $12 in advance or $15 at the door. School-aged students can attend for $5, and M State students and staff with a college ID enjoy free admission.
