Come January 1st, Minnesotans will be able to buy a special Minnesota Twins license plate, with the extra 30-dollar annual fee going to the Twins Community Fund.
The 2023 Legislature allowed pro teams to do it for their charitable foundations, and the Twins’ Matt Hodson says: “We’ve heard from fans for awhile, like, hey, it’d be great to have a Minnesota Twins plate. Well, we had to wait ’til we could do it, and now we can. So I think… maybe a post-holiday gift perhaps: Give you a little I-O-U in your stocking and say, alright, come January 1st I’m gonna buy you that plate.”
The plate displays “This is Twins Territory” along with the club logo and an “M and North Star” mark, all in the Twins’ red, white and navy color scheme.
